“The work as a combination of matter and light. The volume –matter- in as far as the inanimate object: silent and still. And light –indefinite space-, like a void defined by matter: alive, moving, dynamic.

If the solid is not defined, there can be no habitable void. Without matter, there is no light, and therefore, no life. Recognizing a place and the process of adapting ourselves to it gives us the opportunity to bring matter to life through a correct interpretation of light.”

—Josep Ferrando. Matter and Light

My work strives to question the box itself, rather than merely think outside of it. To disrupt and subvert, never taking anything for granted. To creatively challenge preconcieved notions and perspectives through design.

To share a different take on things. To evoke (feelings, reactions, experiences, memories), provoke (emotion, action), to invite (open a dialogue), and to explore (ideas and concepts through material interpretations).

May we never cease to see things anew.
